Some weddings feel especially full circle
I first met Delaney years ago through the horse community when we were in high school, where I got to know both her and her family. So when she reached out about photographing her wedding to Max at the Chatfield Farms Botanic Gardens, it felt incredibly special. It's always an honor to document a wedding, but there's something extra meaningful about photographing someone you've known through a different season of life and getting to witness the beginning of such an exciting new chapter.
From the moment I arrived at Chatfield Farms, it was obvious this day was going to be beautiful. The gardens created the perfect backdrop with lush greenery, blooming flowers, and peaceful walking paths that made every corner feel romantic. The venue offered such a relaxed atmosphere, allowing everyone to simply enjoy being present and celebrate Delaney and Max.
Before the excitement of the ceremony and portraits, I always love taking time to photograph the thoughtful details that make each wedding unique. From Delaney's elegant dress and carefully chosen accessories to the florals, invitations, rings, and personal touches woven throughout the day, every element reflected the care and intention that went into planning their celebration. These images help tell the complete story of a wedding day, preserving not only how it looked, but the little details that often become some of the most treasured memories.
One of my favorite parts of the day was spending time with Delaney and Max during their portraits. They made everything look effortless. Whether they were walking hand in hand through the gardens, sharing quiet moments together, or laughing between poses, every image reflected exactly who they are as a couple. Those in-between moments always end up being my favorites because they're genuine, relaxed, and filled with so much personality.
As guests gathered beneath the trees at Chatfield Farms Botanic Gardens, the excitement began to build for the ceremony. There’s something so special about the moment when everything slows down and the focus shifts to the reason everyone is there; to celebrate two people committing their lives to one another. Surrounded by their family and friends, Delaney and Max exchanged heartfelt vows in a beautiful garden setting that perfectly reflected the joy and simplicity of their day. From the smiles they shared at the altar to the cheers as they walked back down the aisle as newlyweds, every moment was filled with genuine happiness.
Knowing Delaney for so many years made documenting this wedding even more meaningful. It's amazing how life comes full circle, from long horse show days to celebrating one of the biggest days of her life. Seeing the happiness on her face throughout the day was something I'll never forget, and it made every photo feel even more personal.
As the celebration continued, friends and family surrounded Delaney and Max with so much love. Every conversation, hug, and smile reflected just how excited everyone was for these two. It was one of those weddings that felt joyful from beginning to end, and the energy carried through every part of the celebration.
